5K/10K Turkey Trot / Dog Jog-Walk 1 mile • Register • View Cart •

We will be collecting a non-perishable food item for a  seasonal food drive.  Thank you so much!  
You're invited to the Annual 5k/10K Turkey Trot and 1 Mile Dog Jog/Walk (dog not required)!
Saturday, November 22, 2025.
9am start of race.
Race check-in is at the Memorial Gym Cafeteria, 678 Main St. from 8-8:45am
Hosted by the Sanford Parks and Recreation Department.
5K Winners 1st place Male and Female win a $50 gift card and 2nd Place Winners Male and Female win a $25 gift card.
10K Winners 1st place Male and Female win $35 gift card and 2nd place Male and Female win a $20 gift card. 
1 Mile Dog Jog is not timed - all 1 mile participants will have a chance for a $15 gift card. 
All Gift Cards are good at Hanniford.
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL SAVE YOU MONEY.  YOU MUST DO THIS PRIOR TO MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2025.

NO CHILD CARE AVAILABLE - Strollers are welcome behind front line of runners.

Register at the Memorial Gym if registering after 11/19/25.  Cost is $5 more day of race.  
Staff will be at the race site at 8am Saturday, November 22, 2025.

General Information
  • Register for this event online before midnight Nov 19 and save $$. See below for category.
  • The event will begin in front of the Pride Elementary School (Gowen Park Tennis Courts), then on to the serene Mousam trail and end back at the Gym.
  • Race is held on Saturday, November 22 at 9am.
  • All runners will receive Parks and Rec garb...
  • All participants will receive ribbons; results will be forwarded to area news media.
  • Bottled water, fruit, and munchies will be on site.
  • Dog walkers, please bring clean-up kit. Leashed dogs welcome on 1 mile race only.
  • The 1 mile race is not timed - names will be in a raffle for a $15 gift card. (Walk from Gowen Park to the Dog Park by the Armory then back again)
  • Registration is open from 8am - 8:45 am at the Memorial Gym Cafeteria, 678 Main St - right next door to Pride Elementary School 708 Main Street, Sanford ME 04073
  • Advanced registration: $20 (before midnight Nov. 19). Day of Race/Run $25 Day of Race/1 Mile Walk $20.
  • Sanford School Students cost is $5. - You Must Register the day of race for this special $5 fee.

  • $25 Hannaford's Gift Cards for 2nd place Male and Female finishers for 5K
