9:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Pickleball for Seniors (plus) - Pickleball 2022/23 Drop-In
What is Pickleball?  It's a mixture of tennis, pingpong and staying out of the kitchen.  This game has caught the spirit of many including Roger Huppe, Ben Harris, Dick L'Heureux and Ernie Cote who have dedicated much time and effort to seeing this sport grow in Sanford/Springvale.  It is played weekly throughout the winter and summer months.  WE WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO PLAY - WE HAVE EQUIPMENT FOR PUBLIC USE  (please don't come if you are feeling sick)New Players: we require new players to the game to receive one hour of instruction before playing with the group.  Tuesdays and Thursdays are the days this will be offered from 9-10 and then you will be able to play.  There is no cost for this and paddles will be available.  Roger can set up a time for your "learn to play" instruction by emailing him at rphuppe@gmail.com.FREE OPEN PICKLEBALL CLINICS: (see if you like it before spending money on the sport) Wednesday, Oct. 26 and Friday Oct. 28 from 5-8pm.  Sunday Oct. 30, 9am-12.  This is for inexperienced players who would like to learn the basics of Pickleball.  Paddles and balls provided.  Please wear comfortable gym shoes.  Parking is available in the rear of the building.  Use Door 3 - Memorial Gym Enjoy Fall/Winter Play as follows: Memorial Gym (678 Main Street, Sanford, ME 04073) - Starting Mon. Monday, Wednesday, Friday will be for Advanced players, 3 courts for 3.5 rated players and 3 courts for 3.0 rated players.Tuesday and Thursday will be for Beginners and Intermediates.Additional Play is available Wednesday and Friday Eve's from 5-8pm and Sunday's from 9-12. Please use last year’s ratings to start. If you think your game has improved to allow you to play at the next level, please let me know. April, August, December and February Vacation WeeksVacation Day Camp is a program for school age children which runs the length of a vacation week when school is not in session. Campers are kept safe and busy with a variety of activities that will include: Lego's, games, arts and crafts, sports, field trips, movies, and just plain fun. Dates and times vary depending on the vacation weeks, but all vacation camps will be held at the Carl Lamb Gym and Cafe'. Our staff are working hard on finding new creative, fun games for our campers.  Activities may include music, movies, arts and crafts, theatre, cheer leading, dancing, environment (including walks and hikes), story time, canoe/kayaking (age dependent), a variety of interesting educational activities, as well as swimming for all age campers.  Staff to camper ratio is 1/6. Staff range in age 15-25 yrs old. Children must be potty trained. April, August, December and February Vacation WeeksVacation Day Camp is a program for school age children which runs the length of a vacation week when school is not in session. Campers are kept safe and busy with a variety of activities that will include: Lego's, games, arts and crafts, sports, field trips, movies, and just plain fun. Dates and times vary depending on the vacation weeks, but all vacation camps will be held at the Carl Lamb Gym and Cafe'. Our staff are working hard on finding new creative, fun games for our campers.  Activities may include music, movies, arts and crafts, theatre, cheer leading, dancing, environment (including walks and hikes), story time, canoe/kayaking (age dependent), a variety of interesting educational activities, as well as swimming for all age campers.  Staff to camper ratio is 1/6. Staff range in age 15-25 yrs old. Children must be potty trained. April, August, December and February Vacation WeeksVacation Day Camp is a program for school age children which runs the length of a vacation week when school is not in session. Campers are kept safe and busy with a variety of activities that will include: Lego's, games, arts and crafts, sports, field trips, movies, and just plain fun. Dates and times vary depending on the vacation weeks, but all vacation camps will be held at the Carl Lamb Gym and Cafe'. Our staff are working hard on finding new creative, fun games for our campers.  Activities may include music, movies, arts and crafts, theatre, cheer leading, dancing, environment (including walks and hikes), story time, canoe/kayaking (age dependent), a variety of interesting educational activities, as well as swimming for all age campers.  Staff to camper ratio is 1/6. Staff range in age 15-25 yrs old. Children must be potty trained. Basketball for Youth 7th-12th grades held at the Memorial Gym Tuesday Nights 7pm-9pm.  Program runs from Oct 18, 2022-April 11, 2022.  No need registering for this program - just show up.  Mask mandate changes frequently.  Please have a mask available. Cost is $2 per night. Pay supervisor at the gym when attending. PLEASE no coins!

Time to bring your walking indoors.  We have a place for you on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday's at the Memorial Gym in Sanford Maine.  Mon - 7-9Tues - 7-9Wed - 5-8Fri - 5-8Cost is just $1 for each night you attend. Pay supervisor at the Memorial Gym and then head upstairs to the balcony area for walking and step climbing.

What is Pickleball?  It's a mixture of tennis, pingpong and staying out of the kitchen.  This game has caught the spirit of many including Roger Huppe, Ben Harris, Dick L'Heureux and Ernie Cote who have dedicated much time and effort to seeing this sport grow in Sanford/Springvale.  It is played weekly throughout the winter and summer months.  WE WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO PLAY - WE HAVE EQUIPMENT FOR PUBLIC USE  (please don't come if you are feeling sick)New Players: we require new players to the game to receive one hour of instruction before playing with the group.  Tuesdays and Thursdays are the days this will be offered from 9-10 and then you will be able to play.  There is no cost for this and paddles will be available.  Roger can set up a time for your "learn to play" instruction by emailing him at rphuppe@gmail.com.FREE OPEN PICKLEBALL CLINICS: (see if you like it before spending money on the sport) Wednesday, Oct. 26 and Friday Oct. 28 from 5-8pm.  Sunday Oct. 30, 9am-12.  This is for inexperienced players who would like to learn the basics of Pickleball.  Paddles and balls provided.  Please wear comfortable gym shoes.  Parking is available in the rear of the building.  Use Door 3 - Memorial Gym Enjoy Fall/Winter Play as follows: Memorial Gym (678 Main Street, Sanford, ME 04073) - Starting Mon. Monday, Wednesday, Friday will be for Advanced players, 3 courts for 3.5 rated players and 3 courts for 3.0 rated players.Tuesday and Thursday will be for Beginners and Intermediates.Additional Play is available Wednesday and Friday Eve's from 5-8pm and Sunday's from 9-12. Please use last year’s ratings to start. If you think your game has improved to allow you to play at the next level, please let me know. Please use the rear entrance of the Memorial Gym (Door 3), with just a few steps up, which leads to a small foyer at gym level and a changing room on the right. This room will be especially useful on wet/snow weather days. Wet shoes will not be allowed in the gym. There is a long bleacher which will allow for seating and gym bags. The cost for now remains at $4/person/day. As you enter the gym there will be a table with a container to collect money and a sign in sheet that is mandatory! Please folks, no coins!
