Pickleball continues to GROW in Sanford/Springvale and surrounding communities. KEEP MOVING!Official Indoor Play Starts on Monday October 5th-No Registration is Needed! Pay as you Play at Memorial Gym, 678 Main Street, Sanford, ME 04073.-Cost is $5.00 to play.-The program runs weekly throughout the winter months.-Limited equipment for public use is available.New to pickleball?? Please do not park right next to the building in the back as this area is for Office Administrators only - thank you. -Please use the rear entrance of the Memorial Gym (Door 3), with just a few steps up, it will lead you to a small foyer at gym level and a changing room on the right. This room will be especially useful on wet/snow weather days. Wet shoes will not be allowed in the gym. There is a long bleacher which will allow for seating and gym bags.
CostThe cost will be $5/person/day. As you enter the gym there will be a table with a container to collect money and a sign in sheet that is mandatory! Also MANDATORY is the Parks and Rec Release Form. This must be signed once a year by all who participate at the Memorial Gym for this program. The program runs from October 5, 2026-May 14, 2027. From early May through mid-September, you can continue to play at Carpentier Park located at 82 High St., Sanford!! Join us this school year for our after school Teen Center. This will be a semi-structured program and activities could include: outdoor play, gym time, homework help, arts & crafts, and hanging out with friends. We are aiming to provide a safe place for kids to hangout after school.This program will be for kids attending the Sanford Middle School, grades 5th - 8th. Hours of operation are 2:30pm - 5:30pm, and 12:30pm - 5:30pm on the last Wednesday of the month for early release. This program will follow the school calendar as to when it is open. During holidays, vacations, and early release due to weather, the Teen Center will be closed. This will be a semi-structured program and activities could include: outdoor play, gym time, homework help, arts & crafts, and hanging out with friends. We are aiming to provide a safe place for kids to hangout after school.This program will be for kids attending the Sanford Middle School, grades 5th - 8th. Hours of operation are 2:30pm - 5:30pm, and 12:30pm - 5:30pm on the last Wednesday of the month for early release. This program will follow the school calendar as to when it is open. During holidays, vacations, and early release due to weather, the Teen Center will be closed. There may be additional dates that we are closed due to large events happening at the gym - notice will be given and you will not be charged for those days. Pickleball continues to GROW in Sanford/Springvale and surrounding communities. KEEP MOVING!Official Indoor Play Starts on Monday October 5th-No Registration is Needed! Pay as you Play at Memorial Gym, 678 Main Street, Sanford, ME 04073.-Cost is $5.00 to play.-The program runs weekly throughout the winter months.-Limited equipment for public use is available.New to pickleball?? This is where you will find the hours of play.Parking & Gym Entrance-Parking is available in the rear of the building. Please do not park right next to the building in the back as this area is for Office Administrators only - thank you. -Please use the rear entrance of the Memorial Gym (Door 3), with just a few steps up, it will lead you to a small foyer at gym level and a changing room on the right. This room will be especially useful on wet/snow weather days. Wet shoes will not be allowed in the gym. There is a long bleacher which will allow for seating and gym bags.
CostThe cost will be $5/person/day. As you enter the gym there will be a table with a container to collect money and a sign in sheet that is mandatory! Teen Center - Teen Center ~ November
Join us this school year for our after school Teen Center. This will be a semi-structured program and activities could include: outdoor play, gym time, homework help, arts & crafts, and hanging out with friends. We are aiming to provide a safe place for kids to hangout after school.This program will be for kids attending the Sanford Middle School, grades 5th - 8th. Hours of operation are 2:30pm - 5:30pm, and 12:30pm - 5:30pm on the last Wednesday of the month for early release. This program will follow the school calendar as to when it is open. During holidays, vacations, and early release due to weather, the Teen Center will be closed. There may be additional dates that we are closed due to large events happening at the gym - notice will be given and you will not be charged for those days. There will be accountability and responsibility for the participants. They will be responsible to walk from the Sanford Middle School to the Memorial Gym once they are dismissed from school. They will sign themselves in with the staff. Permission may be given for them to walk home, if written permission is provided by their guardians.
