Art Camp (Tues. in July) - Art Camp (Tues. in July) 1,8,15,22 Our intriguing Art Camp is designed for kids grades 1-6 on Tuesday's in July. During this 4 week camp they will enjoy a variety of Art Mediums. This program is for the kiddos who have an excitement for the Visual Arts. The camp will be instructed by Artist, "Miss EV". She has been teaching and exhibiting her paintings since she was 16 years old. She has inspired hundreds of students, all ages, from Pre-School through Adult, in private venues and in public school settings for several decades. She is an award-winning Signature Artist and Biological Illustrator who worked on a Gray Whale Census Team in Baja, California for several years. This art experience will surely fill your little artist's needs for creative process! Join us in celebrating July 4th! July 3rd we will have a block party at Number One Pond with vendors, a water ski show and fireworks starting at 4:00pm. July 4th we will have our parade down Main Street - starting at 10:00 am at Malcolm Ave ending at Gowen Park.

Summer Playground Program (this is an outdoor program) - Springvale Park Morning Camp Skills for Life and Memories that last a lifetime!Our mission: Our camps will help build character in your child and allow kids to express themselves as individuals. Our camps also promote social skills, confidence and resilience.Ages: Camp is designed for children 5-13 years of age.Program Info:*The program runs from Monday June 23 through Friday August 8. No Camp on Friday, July 4 in celebration of the 4th of July.*Morning Session runs from 9:00am-Noon; Afternoon Session runs from Noon-4:30pm.*Camp is held at Springvale Playground.*Our experienced staff have an exciting summer planned including theme weeks, field trips, music, movies, crafts, entertainment, theatre, cheerleading, Legos, dancing, environment (including walks and hikes), golf, magic, story hours, culinary, canoe/kayaking (age dependent), and a variety of interesting educational activities (music/art), as well as swimming for all age campers.*Children must be potty trained.*Our Staff is not trained for working with children with highly social, emotional, and or behavioral needs.Important Info:-Summer Camp Starts on Monday, June 23. (No camp on Friday, July 4.)-If camp is canceled due to weather, it will be posted on our website at the top of the home page - www.sanfordrec.com. -Fees: Cost is for the entire summer and includes field trips. Morning Session: $225 for residents; $325 for non-residents Afternoon Session: $325 for residents; $425 for non-residents-Your child(ren) will not be able to attend camp until your balance is paid in full.-Scholarship Application Deadline: First come/First serve. Once funds are dissolved, there will be no more scholarships given. There is a non-refundable $25 cash application fee when submitting the application. WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS.-The Sanford School Nutrition Program is offering lunches at the playground. Children will be asked each morning if they would like a free lunch.
