Pickleball - Pickleball 2025/26 Drop-In
Pickleball continues to GROW in Sanford/Springvale and surrounding communities. KEEP MOVING!Official Indoor Play Starts on Monday October 20-No Registration is Needed! Pay as you Play at Memorial Gym, 678 Main Street, Sanford, ME 04073.-Cost is $5.00 to play.-The program runs weekly throughout the winter months.-Limited equipment for public use is available.New to pickleball?? We will teach you how to play! See requirements to play below:-New players to the game are required to receive one hour of instruction before playing with the group.-Cost for non-resident new players for 1 hour of instruction is $10; free instruction for resident new players.-Instruction days are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9a-10a.-Beginner paddles will be available for all to use and try. Roger can set up a time for your 'learn to play' instruction by emailing him at rphuppe@gmail.comDays/TimesPlease refer to the calendar, which can be found on the home page at the top, by hovering over the "Facil/Parks" tab and then the drop down menu will appear. This is where you will find the hours of play.Parking & Gym Entrance-Parking is available in the rear of the building. Please do not park right next to the building in the back as this area is for Office Administrators only - thank you. -Please use the rear entrance of the Memorial Gym (Door 3), with just a few steps up, it will lead you to a small foyer at gym level and a changing room on the right. This room will be especially useful on wet/snow weather days. Wet shoes will not be allowed in the gym. There is a long bleacher which will allow for seating and gym bags.
CostThe cost will be $5/person/day. As you enter the gym there will be a table with a container to collect money and a sign in sheet that is mandatory! Also MANDATORY is the Parks and Rec Release Form. This must be signed once a year by all who participate at the Memorial Gym for this program. The program runs from October 20, 2025-May 3, 2026. Please folks, no coins!Summer PlaySeason is over?? We've got you covered - program continues outdoors! From early May through mid-September, you can continue to play at Carpentier Park located at 82 High St., Sanford!! There is no cost for outdoor play.High-Rated PlayersAgain this year 2025/26 Season: all 3.5 rated players will be playing M,W,F at the Nasson Gym from 9-noon. 3.5 rated players please pay your fee of $5/person at the Nasson gym 457 Main St, Springvale.
